A reminder to all 5th year students: Interhealth's first event of 2012, the annual ELECTIVES AND EXCHANGE NIGHT is coming up on Monday, February 13.
Starting at 6pm, you will be able to gain essential information regarding your upcoming electives, hearing from:
- Ms Marian Hogan: Faculty of Medicine Electives Coordinator - providing you with all the important details you need to provide the Faculty, and important dates to have things done by throughout the year
- A/Prof Ben Clark: Infection Control Boss, has all the important information about diseases you can run into on elective, and what to do to prepare beforehand
- Dr Peter Burke: Travel Doctor extraordinaire - giving you useful and practical tips on how to survive your elective.
We will also have speeches from one or two students who have just arrived back from their electives, as well as information about how you can fully maximise your elective experience and get involved with the LINCS programme, or undertake an internship with an IGO or NGO. Food will be provided!
FOR THOSE WHO ARE ON RURAL CLINICAL SCHOOL, WE WILL BE RECORDING ALL THE SPEAKERS, AND WILL BE UPLOADING A VIDEO VERSION AND AN AUDIO VERSION FOR YOU TO VIEW IN THE DAYS FOLLOWING THE EVENT. YOU WILL ALSO HAVE ACCESS TO THE POWERPOINTS FROM EACH SPEAKER.
